Ministry of health has planned a Measles -Rubella -polio vaccination
campaign in response to the Measles -Rubella outbreaks that have been
reported in the country .
The campaign will be conducted conducted from
16th to 20th October 2019;first 3days in schools and the last 2 days in
the community vaccination posts .
The measles - Rubella immunization
campaign is targeting all children aged between 9months and 15yrs
irrespective of the immunization status and will cover all districts in
Uganda.
The Measles - Rubella - polio vaccines are safe , effective and
free and available at government and non government facilities. Immunization is one of the most important health interventions that
protects people from vaccine preventable diseases.
Let us share the
information until it reaches everyone. No child between the age of
9months to15yrs should be left out during this campaign.
