KASESE GOES ELECTRONIC-GOVERNANCE (E-GOVERNANCE)

As the world goes computer technologies, government officials in Kasese District were trained and encouraged to adopt to using ICT tools to do their daily work. in a two days training which was facilitated by an ICT based organization known as Collaboration on International ICT Policy in East and Southern Africa (CIPESA) in partnership with the E-Society Resource Centre Kasese District Local Government.

The training that took place on Thursday 20th Mar 2014 and Friday 21st Mar 2014 at the E-Society Resource Centre was well attended by the Members of the District Executive committee,  a good number of the heads of departments and some community members.
The Assistant Chief Administrative Officers Mr. Bihanikire and Asaba Wilson, they appreciated the partners CIPESA and RIC-Net for the Technological innovations that have positively changed the face of Kasese District Local Government. They pledged to continuously use computer in their daily work.

In attendance was the Deputy LCV Chairperson who in his words gave a testimony on how he has used technology through the E-Society to achieve many things including his present careers. He thanked all stakeholders, the CAO, RIC-NET and CIPESA for the support and innovations.

The training was a succeed where all heads of departments and political leaders who attended joined the different online governance systems like the District e-library, d-group, skype, facebook and many more.
We hope to have a technology driven local government in the near future.
